Assistant Production Manager

(Maternity Cover – Day Shift)
Full-time | Fixed Term – 12 Months | £15.44 per hour
Ashford, Kent | Onsite | 40 hours per week

Our client, a well-established and fast-paced production business based in Ashford, is seeking an Assistant Production Manager to provide maternity cover on the day shift.

This is a fantastic opportunity to step into a leadership role within a dynamic environment where you'll support daily production operations and drive improvements in quality, efficiency, and team performance.

What you’ll be doing:

Support the day-to-day running of the production floor
Lead and motivate staff to meet targets
Maintain quality control and compliance with food safety standards
Contribute to continuous improvement and process efficiency
Ensure accurate inventory and production records
Liaise across teams and departments to ensure smooth workflow

What we’re looking for:

Minimum 1 year in a managerial or supervisory role
Background in production; food import/export industry ideal
Confident communicator and problem solver
Proficient in Microsoft Office and inventory systems
